The Bastrop Police Department is investigating a potential suicide death after the body of a 57-year-old man was discovered in the city limits Thursday afternoon.
The body of Steven Craig Hoagland was discovered Thursday afternoon near Texas 95 in the Bastrop city limits. Hoagland was a Bastrop resident.
Bastrop police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Texas 95 in Bastrop when the man's body was discovered. There was no threat to the public, according to the department.
