I recall an old song, “Little Is Much When God Is in It.”
Maybe you need a refreshing reminder that whatever your “little” is, God can make it much. Whether your life is full of people and contacts, or smaller, the assessment of your value from God’s perspective is always refreshing.
Seek to see life from God’s perspective.
God reminds us to pray, for example, when people randomly seem to pop into our minds. He calls us to invest our influence.
Most of us are little in the world’s acclaim, yet God invites us to serve Him.
So, assess your little, or your much. Trace God’s hand in your life.
Remember back to people and occasions that occurred along the way. Recall those who impacted your life. Pray, asking God to reveal His perspective of these life events.
A common question or quandary people experience is, “What is my purpose? What is my life all about?”
Simple answers come from your everyday life.
What activities do you engage in? Who do you speak with routinely? These are people God placed in your life, and there is purpose to that.
Perhaps it’s to pray for them without them ever being aware of it. Perhaps it’s to encourage them along their way. Perhaps it’s to come alongside them and lend a helping hand.
Be bold and ask God to show you what He desires for you and the relationships you share. Have you ever considered praying as you walk around your neighborhood? You may not know your neighbors, but you can pray for them. Maybe do a good deed without acclaim.
Life is not random, and God knows just where you are and the people you meet along the way.
Our life can be a wonderful journey affecting many.
In this way, we honor God’s Word in John 13:34: “A new commandment I give to you: love one another. As I have loved you, you also must love one another.”
God loved us first. He gave first. He initiated a relationship with us first.
Be encouraged that your little, or your much, is great when God is in it — when we go in Jesus’ name.
Until next week,
Anita
