Elgin police are asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects wanted in connection with early morning burglaries they say caused about $6,500 in losses.
According to the Elgin Police Department, the suspects broke into Elgin Food Mart and Elgin General Store during the early morning hours of July 29 and stole merchandise and other property.
Investigators said they believe the suspects fled the area on foot.
Police described both individuals as young Black males with thin builds.
One suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, sweatpants and a black face covering. The other was wearing a white T-shirt, green Adidas jogger pants, a face covering and three bracelets on his left wrist.
