The Elgin Youth Football and Cheer Junior Football team won the Central Texas Youth Football League Championship game Saturday, Nov. 18, as this Wildcats team ended the 2023 season with an undefeated record of 10-0.Some notable statistics included 322 total points scored and only 33 points scored against. The trademark of this team was their scrappy defense, speed and the “DAWG” mentality. The future is extremely bright for Elgin Football.This team is made up of fourth and fifth-grade students from the Elgin community.
