Diana Orosco Lopez

Diana Orosco Lopez, age 59, of McDade, passed away on Dec. 26, 2022. Diana was born on April 20, 1963, in Cuero to Joe Neria Orosco Sr. and Cruz Dehoyos Orosco.

Diana was a longtime member of Austin Rodeo. She was a true cowgirl at heart. She had a bright smile and contagious laugh. She was always there for anyone and everyone, no matter the time of day. She would lend a helping hand even to strangers and volunteered whenever she could. Diana left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Neria Orosco Sr. She is survived by her mother, Cruz Orosco; her daughters, Letty Alvarado and husband, Anthony Branch, Caitlyn Lopez, and Mia Lopez; her grandchildren, Thaliya and Liana Branch; her brother, Joe Orosco Jr. and wife, Pat;her niece, Meagan Orosco; and her nephew, Aaron Orosco.

A visitation was held on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop.
