Brenda Joyce Muller McBee, 67, of Elgin, passed away surrounded by her loving family, Monday morning, Aug. 7, 2023.

Brenda was the first born of four children to Oscar Davis Riddle and Joyce Marie Gibbons Riddle, Lockhart, on Nov. 12, 1955. Brenda grew up and attended school in Lockhart. After graduating high school, she married Robert Q Rivera and together the couple had two children, a son, Robert Wray Rivera and daughter, Gina Elana Rivera.

She then married Gary Muller and together they had a son, Gary “G.W.” Wayne Muller, Jr.

She also had another son, Keith Logan Riddle.

She then met and later married Delmas “Del” McBee and enjoyed 15 wonderful years together before her passing.

Brenda had various careers throughout her life, working as a waitress at the City Café in Elgin, bartender for various establishments in Bastrop and worked at the Eight Point Ranch of Williamson County in numerous capacities including bottle feeding White-Tail Deer.

She loved spending time with her friends playing bingo. She and Del would often travel to the casinos, where she would play the slot machines for hours. She was a proud member of the infamous Ya-Ya Sisterhood, which was a motley crew of ladies from the City Café, who were dear friends and co-workers.

She will always be remembered for loving anyone unconditionally who came into her life and often was a second mom to many kids throughout her life. She loved spending time with her family, especially her sister, children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and her youngest son, Keith Riddle. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Del; her two sons, Wray Rivera and wife Alice of Bastrop; G.W. Muller and wife Ashley of College Station; her daughter, Gina Rivera of Elgin; her daughter-inlaw, Rachel Hendricks; her step-son, Justin McBee; her three step-daughters Ashley Anderson, Lauren McBee and Marsha Parsley McBee; ten grandchildren Juliana, Maribella and Maddox Rivera, Mariah Shibley, Trey and Zay Alderete, Logan Perez, Kaiden, Ethan and Grayson Riddle; and numerous extended family and dear friends.

Family and Friends will gather for a Celebration of Brenda’s Life Saturday, Aug. 19 at 4 p.m. at Elgin Funeral Home. Arrangements and care are entrusted to: Elgin Funeral Home.
