Big bonds set in area felony arrests

A trio of suspects arrested on felony charges this month remain in the Bastrop County Jail on bonds reaching up to $3.5 million.

Marcus Ray Collins, 43, of Elgin, turned himself in March 10 and remained in custody on a $550,000 bond. He faces six charges, including four counts of possession of a controlled substance totaling $425,000 in bond amount, along with a $100,000 possession of marijuana charge and a $25,000 possession of a dangerous drug charge.

Julian Villalobos, 28, of Elgin, was transferred from the Williamson County Jail March 2 and is being held on a $2.5 million bond sum. He faces five charges, including two counts of sexual assault of a child, two counts of sexual performance of a child and one count of possession of child pornography.

Villalobos was arrested Feb. 28 in Williamson County, according to records. A court date was not available.

LaQuan Williams, 27, of Pflugerville, was transferred from the Travis County Correctional Complex in Del Valle and remains in custody on a $3.5 million bond. He faces seven charges, including two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

He is scheduled to appear before a 21st District Court judge May 11.
