Incumbent Stan Gerdes is leading the Republican primary race for the Texas House of Representatives District 17 seat.
As of 9:13 p.m. Tuesday, Gerdes had secured 61.96% of the vote, compared to challenger Tom Glass, who had 38.04%.
In the Democratic primary for the same seat, Mary Elizabeth Klenz led with 61.81% of the vote. Her opponents, Frank Gomez III and Robert Salter, trailed with 22.92% and 14.47%, respectively.
As of 8:28 p.m., Gregory Klaus was leading the race for Bastrop County Judge with 64.91% of the vote. Challenger Donald Louks trailed with 35.09%.
The Republican primary winner for county judge will face Democrat Dock Jackson in the November General Election, who is unopposed in his party’s primary.
Sarah Louks was leading in the Bastrop County district clerk race with 52.62% of the vote.
Holly Cox followed with 23.49%, while Ward Northcutt had 14.62% and Tamara Batot had 9.27%.
