Woman accused of felony forgery

A local woman faces three felony forgery charges and additional counts involving stolen firearms and drugs after an investigation into missing funds from school-related organizations, police said.

Sara Collins was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 18, on three third-degree felony c ount s of forgery of a financial instrument. The charges are tied to “discrepancies” in the Elgin Independent School District Wildcat Booster Club and Project accounts, according to the Elgin Police Department.
