Elgin man dies after driving into pond

An Elgin man is dead after the car he drove ended up in a pond Wednesday morning. 

Andrew Campbell, 77, was pronounced dead at the scene after the vehicle he drove was recovered about 1 p.m. Justice of the Peace Larry Dunne pronounced Campbell dead.

It is unknown what caused Campbell to drive into the pond. More on this story can be seen in the Nov. 12 edition of the Elgin Courier.
