Thirteen of 14 propositions for the city of Elgin passed Tuesday night, but a school bond for the McDade Independent School District did not.
With the exception of Proposition E, Elgin voters approved the other 13 propositions on the ballot. All 14 propositions were decided in landslide fashion by 29 percentage points or more.
The McDade ISD bond, which was priced at $18 million, lost by a margin of 58.29% to 41.71%. The bond would've covered the cost for additions classrooms, a cafetorium, safety, security and renovations.
