Juvenile in custody after bomb threat

Police: Public never in danger

A juvenile was taken into custody Thursday after placing a bomb threat at a local church, police said.

Bastrop Police Department officers were dispatched about 9 a.m. Oct. 23 after receiving a report of a potential threat at an unnamed church. Police said the threat stemmed from “an alarming statement” left on the church’s voicemail by a juvenile.
