BASTROP — Local entrepreneurs will have a chance to sharpen their skills and expand their network when the Governor’s Small Business Summit lands in Bastrop June 26.
Coming to the Bastrop Convention Center, 1408 Chestnut St., the summit will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include sessions on growth strategies, leveraging public programs and using technology to scale small businesses. The event aims to bring together local, state and federal resource partners to offer insight into how to grow—or start—a business locally and beyond, according to Gov. Greg Abbott.
“Small businesses are the cornerstone of our vibrant communities and the driving force behind Texas’ thriving economy,” Abbott said in a statement. “With more than 3.3 million small businesses across Texas, employing nearly half of all working Texans, our state continues to lead in job creation and business expansion.”
