Former Elgin High School infielder Keaton Grady was named to the Baton Rouge All-Regional Team after a strong showing in the NCAA Regionals, held May 31 and June 1 in Baton Rouge.
Grady, now a second baseman for Dallas Baptist University, helped lead the Mustangs to a 6-2 win over Rhode Island in the regional opener, going 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs.
He stayed hot at the plate through the rest of the weekend, matching that 3-for-4 performance in the team’s final game against Little Rock, despite DBU’s losses to LSU and Little Rock.
Grady was also flawless in the field, posting a perfect fielding percentage in both the Rhode Island and Little Rock matchups. He played three varsity seasons at Elgin High School, with a breakout year in 2020–21 when he hit .475 with 28 RBIs and eight home runs.
Grady began his college career at the University of the Incarnate Word before transferring to DBU. After redshirting his sophomore season, he has started at second base for the Mustangs the past two years.
