$1M bond set for murder suspect

CEDAR CREEK — A Mexican citizen was arrested June 8 by Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office deputies in connection with a murder, officials said.

Alejandro Pinto, 43, was taken into custody about 5:20 a.m. at a residence on the 800 block of Old San Antonio Road, according to booking records obtained by the Courier. 

Pinto is being held in the Bastrop County Jail with bond set at $1 million. 

He remained in custody as of Friday morning.
