Elgin High School alumni from across generations are invited to reconnect this summer at the 2025 Purple and White Jubilee.
The all-class reunion will coincide with other Western Days festivities, hosted by the Jubilee 2025 Committee in partnership with the Elgin Chamber of Commerce and SPJST Lodge. This year’s program will highlight the classes of the ’80s.
Elgin Independent School District Superintendent Jana Rueter will welcome attendees Saturday, June 28, from 3-5 p.m. at the SPJST Lodge on Texas 95, followed by an awards ceremony and live entertainment.
According to organizers, the Jubilee began in 2010 as a recurring event to promote alumni engagement and honor distinguished graduates. The inaugural celebration focused on the classes of the ‘50s and alumni from the former Booker T. Washington and Mexican schools, which were integrated in the ’60s and ’40s, respectively.
The 2015 Jubilee honored the ’60s classes and a planned 2020 celebration for ’70s alumni was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers said.
Organizers encourage all Elgin High alumni to attend, regardless of class year, to reconnect with classmates and celebrate the district’s legacy.
More information will be shared as the event date approaches.
