Joshua Hebert is settling into his new role as pastor of First Baptist Church of Bastrop. A Katy native, Hebert previously served more than eight years as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Kemp. He holds multiple degrees in biblical studies and is completing his PhD in New Testament studies at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. Hebert emphasizes expository preaching, teaching through books of the Bible verse-by-verse, and said he is excited to help First Baptist strengthen its ministries and outreach efforts.
