A fatal single-vehicle crash near the intersection of U.S. 290 and Western Sky Boulevard Sunday morning prompted lane closures, according to the Elgin Police Department.
Officers and crash investigators responded to the scene, closing the outside lane of eastbound U.S. 290. Although traffic continued, drivers were advised to expect delays and exercise caution.
The investigation concluded by 10:57 a.m., and the roadway was reopened.
