He is the son of Carlos Sotelo and Juana Moreno Rivera.

Carlos lay in state at Elgin Funeral Home Dec. 27. Family and friends gathered for visitation and a reading of the Holy Rosary.

A graveside service was held at Austin Memorial Park Dec. 28, with Deacon Oscar Gonzales presiding.
