He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn.

He will lie in state from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Elgin Funeral Home.

A home-going celebration will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m. at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Lincoln, with Pastor Chance Taylor presiding.

Interment with military honors will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 2:15 p.m.at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
