He is survived by his wife, Donna.

Family and friends will gather for visitation from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Elgin Funeral Home. Walter’s home-going celebration will immediately follow visitation, beginning at 1 p.m.

The interment will be private.
