He is survived by his wife, Ruby.

Family and friends will gather for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at Elgin Funeral Home. A home-going celebration will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Elgin, under the auspices of Pleasant Bethany Missionary Baptist Church of Elgin, with Pastors A.R. Evans, Jr. and Louis Harrison, Jr. presiding. Interment will follow at Elgin Latin Cemetery.
