Betty Robertson

She was born Betty Jean Clark on Jan. 2, 1928, to Bessie Mae (Brazell) and Levi Lemuel Clark in Marion, Kentucky. She was the fourth child, and with a 15-year age difference between her and oldest sister and 11-year age difference between her and her brother, she was truly the baby of the family.
Betty graduated from Marion High School with the Class of 1946. She was married in 1947 and had one daughter.
On May 6, 1960, she married Pope Robertson. He was from Oklahoma and in August 1963 they moved to Elgin.
They were members of the First United Methodist Church. Pope trained Border Collie Sheepdogs as a hobby. Betty enjoyed their travels to sheepdog trials all over the country, and to Canada and Scotland.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Herbert; sister, Mildred McEuen and husband, Luther; sister, Marietta May; several very close nieces and nephews; and her husband, Pope Robertson.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois Worthey of Elgin; stepson, Randy Robertson and wife Diane of Marietta, Oklahoma; stepdaughter, Linda Wade and husband Cotton of Pottsboro; grandchildren, Terri Siens of Lexington, Jason Lindgren and wife Robin of Hutto; six step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Siens of Grand Prairie, Christopher Siens of Leander, Autumn Siens and wife Andrea of Bryan, and Meghan Siens of Denton; several nieces and nephews, 14 step-great-grandchildren and extended families; and special friends, Gloria Sundeen, Jennifer Sundeen, and Mary Rhodes. Betty will be deeply missed by family and friends.
The Funeral Service was held Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Elgin Funeral Home. Betty will be laid to rest at Elgin City Cemetery.
