She was born June 27, 1971, in Elgin, Texas, to Maria and Pascual Ortiz.

Josie was the wife to Manuel, mother to Carolyn (Michael) and Jordan (John), grandmother to Layken, Shannon, Jessie, Taylor and Charlie.

She is survived by her siblings Janie (Daniel), Pascual (Tracy), Maria (Dean), Rachel (Johnny), Gerry and Joe, and was preceded in death by her sister, Rose.

Josie will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
