Clyde Ray Dowdle, 88, of Elgin, Texas, passed away in the evening Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025.
Family and friends will gather for repast and fellowship at Elgin Church of Christ Thursday, Sept. 4, from noon to 1 p.m. Family will receive guests at Elgin Funeral Home from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a celebration of Clyde’s Life with the Rev. Jason Wilder presiding. Interment will follow at Elgin Cemetery with honors presented by the Austin Police Department.
Arrangements and care are entrusted to Elgin Funeral Home, 712 N. Avenue C in Elgin.
