Cedar Creek VB picks up second district W

BASTROP – Following a thrilling five-set victory on Sept. 15 on the road at Pflugerville Connally High School, the Cedar Creek High School varsity volleyball team defended its home floor on Sept. 19 and cruised in three straight sets over Elgin High School. The Lady Eagles picked up another much-needed District 23-5A victory over the visiting Lady Wildcats at 25-8, 25-11 and held on 25-21 to seal the deal. 09/26/2023 11:00 PM

BASTROP – The Elgin High School varsity football team was coming off a disappointing 33-7 home loss the previous week to Bryan Rudder High School. Bears rally for overtime victory vs. Pflugerville

SMITHVILLE – The Bastrop High School varsity football team bounced back from a rough loss on Friday, Sept. 15 as the Bears rallied for a thrilling 48-42 overtime victory vs. Pflugerville High School. The contest, which was originally supposed to be on Thursday at Bastrop Memorial Stadium, was moved to neutral site Smithville High School on Friday due to stormy weather in Bastrop throughout Thursday evening. 09/19/2023 12:00 AM
