SMITHVILLE — The Smithville High School varsity football team ended the 2023 regular season Nov. 3 as the Tigers handled business with a 26-7 victory at home over the Hornets of Caldwell High School.The Tigers got their scoring started midway through the first quarter when Smithville sophomore quarterback Trip Davis connected on a long 65-yard touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Ramonz Adams for a 7-0 lead, which would hold at the end of the first quarter.Smithville would add a couple of insurance touchdowns late in the second quarter to build on its lead.
