Harvey William “Al” Teague was called home by our Lord and Savior on Dec. 25, 2022, at the age of 78. He was born May 8, 1944, to Harvey and Emeline Teague.

Harvey enjoyed spending his time worshiping the Lord, visiting with family, and listening to Gospel Music. He could often be found reading his Bible and listening to The Chuck Wagon Gang. Harvey had a love for pies, specifically buttermilk and sweet potato. He is best described as a loving man who placed great value in family and friends.

Harvey served in the military for the Fourth U.S. Army Second Battalion First Artillery and was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. He devoted 38 years of his life to working at the Whitley Printing Company and later transitioned to retirement. Harvey was also an active member of the Salvation Army Church.

Harvey is survived by his loving wife of almost 45 years, Sharon Teague; his children, Scott Teague and wife, Dalia, Atara and husband, Chris, Arrianna Wofford and her husband, Chris, and Rachel; his 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren, with one on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, Tim Teague and wife, Miriam, Ed Teague and wife, Dyane, and Marie Kesel; numerous nieces and nephews; and living aunts and uncles.

Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons and his close friends, Ray Harrison and Gary Cleveland. Pallbearers are Ernest Teague, Shane Teague, Tim Teague, Cliffton Battles, Jacob Hernandez and Zac Thurman.

A visitation was held on Monday, Jan. 2, at 10 a.m at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A celebration of life was held at 11 a.m. Interment followed at Type Cemetery in Elgin.
