The first leader for Elgin’s latest elementary school has been named.Megan Wehrle was selected as principal for Harvest Ridge Elementary, the district’s fourth elementary school, set to open Aug. 19 for the 2024 school year.“Ms. Wehrle will be able to establish a student-centered campus culture of providing engaging and innovative experiences for all students, so that they are provided choice and opportunity for their future,” said Superintendent of Schools Jana Rueter.Wehrle previously worked as a first-grade teacher in Austin Independent School District and as a first-grade and fourth-grade teacher at Elgin Elementary, where she would later become assistant principal and ...
