The togetherness of Elgin was on full display this past Saturday, Feb. 4, as the community dealt with challenges stemming from last week’s winter storm.
Elgin Independent School District handed out 362 free curbside lunches to its students and families at Elgin High School throughout the afternoon. As long as students provided their name, address and campus, they received a meal as promised.
“When faced with challenges, Elgin ISD and the Elgin community will always work together to assist with the needs of our students and families,” said district spokesperson Marcial Guajardo, “always remembering that we are ‘One Town, One Team, One Family.’”
