Man accepts 2-year plea for sharing private pictures

A Bastrop County man was sentenced May 13 after pleading guilty to sharing intimate images of a victim without consent.

Casey Tew, 31, was sentenced in the 21st District Court to two years in state jail on four counts of unlawful disclosure of intimate visual material, a state jail felony. He also received five years of probation through the Community Supervision and Corrections Department.

According to county records, Tew disclosed visual material of the victim exposed and engaging in sexual conduct in September 2024.

Records said some of the material, intended harm or embarrass the victim, was posted to social media.

Tew was arrested the same month and posted a $250,000 bond a few days later. He was indicted in November 2024.
