Propositions fail

Voters across Bastrop County cast ballots May 2 on a lineup of local races, with countywide turnout reaching about 12%, according to unofficial results.

Of 18,253 registered local voters, 2,214 turned in general election tickets. The count represents a nearly 4% increase compared to the 2025 general election, which saw 4,084 ballots cast among a larger pool of 53,036 registered voters.
