BASTROP — The City of Bastrop has entered into a $5 million contract with VVater, an Austin-based water technology company, to implement water treatment infrastructure, the company announced April 30.
Officials said the city’s approach aligns with a growing trend of using water treatment technology to meet rising population demands and long-term supply challenges.
The agreement follows major commercial commitments for VVater, including a deal with Nestle and expanding ties across municipal, industrial and data center sectors.
