Lady Cats to open season with multi-team scrimmage

Elgin High School’s Lady Wildcats are ready to pounce as volleyball season approaches, kicking things off with a multiteam scrimmage Friday, Aug. 9, at Taylor High School.

The Lady Cats will face off against host Taylor, Killeen Chaparral and Little River-Academy in a full-day preseason tune-up ahead of regular season play.

Varsity action starts at noon against Taylor. Elgin will then go head-to- head with Little River- Academy at 2:15 p.m., wrapping up the day’s competition against Chaparral at 3:45 p.m.
