Smithville softball stars honored after title run

SMITHVILLE — Two Smithville Lady Tigers earned All-Central Texas honors after standout performances during a strong 2025 varsity softball season.

Junior utility player Jessica Otto was named to the first team, while freshman pitcher Jessica Hinnant was recognized as Newcomer of the Year.

Otto led the Lady Tigers with a .443 batting average and 19 RBIs, while also shining in the circle with a 6-3 record and an impressive 0.87 ERA.
