Dear Editor, Regarding the “furries” bill—it is my understanding that this behavior has been going on in Elgin Independent School District, but employees are afraid to speak out about it for fear of losing their jobs.
As far as the internet “debunking” the story, many people, including those from Austin Independent School District, affirmed on Rep. Gerdes’ post that this is prevalent across Texas.
There was also a video.
I assume if Rep. Gerdes was hesitant about naming names, it was in an effort to protect people from retaliation. Vicky R.
