SMITHVILLE — The Smithville Lady Tigers capped a historic 2025 softball season with seven players earning all-district honors after compiling a 25-7-1 overall record and finishing first in district play at 9-1.
Freshman infielder Jessica Hinnant was named the district’s most valuable player after a standout debut season. Hinnant led the team both at the plate and in the circle, finishing with a .414 batting average, 32 RBIs and a 0.87 earned run average.
Junior Addison Otto earned offensive MVP honors after powering the Lady Tigers with a team-best .443 batting average, five home runs and 19 RBIs.
Sophomore catcher Brityn Roberts received first-team all-district honors. She posted a perfect fielding percentage behind the plate and contributed a .333 batting average with 16 RBIs.
Junior infielder Kenna Tiner was named to the first-team infield after hitting .405 with 16 RBIs and a .729 fielding percentage. Sophomore outfielder Kenzly White rounded out Smithville’s first-team selections, batting .333 and driving in 16 runs.
Smithville also placed two players on the all-district second team. Sophomore outfielder Emery Bayer hit .328 with eight RBIs, while junior infielder Dakota Young added 12 RBIs.
Three additional players received honorable mention recognition: Brittney Collins, Raven Stanley and Kayden Wilde.
With nearly all honorees returning, the Lady Tigers will aim for an even deeper postseason run next spring after capturing a bi-district title and reaching the area round of the 2025 playoffs.
