Eight Cedar Creek athletes sign to compete at the next level

CEDAR CREEK — Cedar Creek High School celebrated National Signing Day Thursday, April 30, as eight student-athletes officially announced their commitments to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Among the signees was Dillon Dubee, who will play football at Texas Lutheran University. Jack Ardis signed with Sam Houston State to compete in rugby, while Kenji Franklin Jr. committed to Weatherford College to play basketball.

On the volleyball court, Gianna Del Bosque signed with Quincy University and Mackenzie Collins with Coastal Bend College.

Jazlene Gomez will continue her soccer career at Pfeiffer University, while Michael Ybarbo and Laude Reyes-Huston will both play college baseball. Ybarbo signed with Wayland Baptist University, and Reyes-Huston committed to Huston-Tillotson University.

The signings marked a proud moment for Cedar Creek athletics, as each athlete took a major step forward in their academic and athletic journeys.
