AUSTIN — The Elgin High School boys varsity basketball team started off the 2023-24 regular season with a bang as the Wildcats traveled Saturday afternoon and ground out a 52-49 victory on the road over the Knights of Austin McCallum High School.The Wildcats were led on the night by senior standout Nathen Lewis, who had a team-high 15 points with a pair of shots drained from behind the arc, four rebounds, one steal and one assist.
