Jonathan R. Hancock

Jonathan R. Hancock, 56, passed away peacefully Friday, March 1, 2024. He was born March 26, 1967, in Granada Hills, California, to Robert and Glenda Hancock.

After living in various central Texas locations, Jon recently returned to Elgin.

Jon was a 1985 graduate of Elgin High School, and attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos and Texas State Technical College in Waco.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Hancock

Jon is survived by his mother, Glenda S. Hancock; and brother, Daniel Hancock; and wife, Cheryl.

A graveside service was held Wednesday, March 6, at 1:30 p.m. at Elgin Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jon’s memory to the charity of your choice.
