ROUND ROCK – The Elgin Courier was one of several newspapers that attended the Texas Press Association convention at Kalahari Resorts in Round Rock this past weekend.This year, 99 newspapers submitted 920 entries into the Texas Better Newspaper Contest. The competition featured 18 categories that were split into divisions based on circulation. Entries were judged by members of the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association.The Elgin Courier competed against other newspapers in the weekly division.
