Elgin High School senior Caleb Clemons commits to continuing his fine arts studies in college during the district’s inaugural Fine Arts Signing Day April 28. Clemons, who starred as SpongeBob SquarePants in the school’s production of “The SpongeBob Musical” in January, was one of 11 seniors honored at the event. The group earned more than $200,000 in scholarships combined after submitting portfolios, audition tapes and interviews to pursue fine arts majors. District officials said the celebration marked a milestone for Elgin ISD’s choir, theater, dance and visual arts programs—showcasing the talent and dedication of students who will continue to share their craft beyond high school.
