Smithville’s girls and boys basketball squads are currently eligible for postseason contention.​After last week’s games, the Lady Tigers rank third in their district with a 4-2 record. The boys’ 2-2 district record is good enough to put them at the number four spot in the standings.On Tuesday, Jan. 10, both teams dismantled the Austin Achieve Polar Bears. The Lady Tigers kept their foot on the gas pedal from the opening tip to the final buzzer.
