A Smithville High School student-athlete officially announced his plans to play at the collegiate level.​Tyson Hancock put pen to paper on a delayed National Signing Day, Feb. 8, affirming that he will play college football at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He earned first team all-district honors and the all-district utility player award in back-to-back seasons. ​Hancock was utilized in a number of ways throughout his high school career as a runner, pass-catcher, defender and occasionally quarterback.
