BASTROP – After falling behind 6-3 in the second inning, the Cedar Creek Eagles rallied to defeat the Bastrop Bears 12-7 Tuesday, April 18.The Eagles were the home team, so they were on defense first, and they really set the tone for the game. The Eagles would get the three outs they needed while only walking one batter. From there the Eagles would record a single, then get walked and then hit back-to-back singles to drive in the first three runs of the game. The Bears’ defense prevented further damage on the scoreboard, getting three outs shortly after.
