Eagles get big win over Cougars

PFLUGERVILLE – The Cedar Creek Eagles baseball team inched closer to a playoff spot Friday night. The Eagles improved to 3-3 on the district season after defeating the Pflugerville Connally Cougars on the road Friday, March 31.The Eagles now sit in fifth place in the district and are only a game back from being in a playoffspot after a 6-0 win over the Cougars. The Eagles would start the game on offense, and the Cougars walked their leadoff batter. Cedar Creek took advantage of the situation by laying down a sacrifice bunt to advance the runner to second base. The Eagles followed with a single to get runners on first and third. The runner on first would then steal second to have two runners ...
