Bears tally much needed win, Lady Bears tie

The Bastrop boys soccer squad dug themselves out from the bottom of district ranks, and the Lady Bears are clinging to the final playoff spot.​The boys won 2-0 on Friday, Feb. 17, over the Pflugerville Panthers, improving to 2-5-1 in district play, which is tied for the sixth seed. The Bastrop girls tied Pflugerville, 2-2, and currently rank fourth in district with a 3-4-1 record. ​The boys seized control early in their matchup as they took a 1-0 lead early in the first half.
