This week’s Sip, Shop & Stroll, the city’s repeating farmers’ market and downtown business celebration, will feature an appearance from the Elgin Oral History Project.  The meet-and-greet will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Nov. 9, and organization directors are eager to hear more stories from Elginites.  Founded in 2021, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the EOHP holds the mission of preserving Elgin’s history through interviews of current and former residents. Interviewers have already conducted over 80 interviews with a plan to provide public access to all audio recordings and their transcriptions.
