BASTROP — A child and others were injured in an apparent accidental discharge in a Mexican restaurant late last month.On March 31 at 8:23 a.m., shots fired were reported at Casa Chapala in the 1800 block of Walnut Street. The Bastrop Police Department was dispatched to investigate.“It was determined that a male suspect was improperly carrying a loaded firearm when a negligent discharge occurred,” said BPD in a press release. “Individuals, including juveniles, were mildly injured by debris stemming from the ricochet.
