Late scores secure Lady Cats’ win

Three runs in the bottom of the sixth secured the Elgin Lady Cats’ win over Manor on Friday. After a one, two, three first innings, Elgin got on the board. Aubry Gonzales walked on four pitches and stole second. Cassidy Davis stepped up and singled to center to bring Gonzales in and give the Lady Cats the early 1-0 advantage. Elgin scored again in the third inning when Bella Ramirez doubled to drive in Hailey Girod, putting Elgin up 2-0. Manor got on the board with their only run of the game in the top of the sixth.
